Nutrition and Health profession investigates the effects of food and nutrition on health and its benefits from social sciences like biology and chemistry to understand. It encourages awareness and self-efficacy about the individual’s food consumption and exercise habits. These health professionals can be called nutritionists or dieticians, which of their aim is to enable individuals to track and observe the daily food consumption patterns they have and make adjustments for the better according to individual needs such as age, gender, and special circumstances such as being a professional athlete, pregnant, etc. The target is to develop permanent behavioral changes rather than informing the individuals with general knowledge and facts about food and nutrition. Nutrition and health also study the economic, psychological, and cultural effects of the food we consume. Therefore, it has a social side to it, which requires working closely with communities such as hospitals, schools, or individuals to plan meal consumption by raising awareness and teaching them how the food they eat affects their bodies.
Dietitians are the only nutritionists whose working procedures are established by law. The title of “dietitian” is protected by law. Anyone using this designation must be registered with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC). Whilst nutritionists are qualified to provide information on food and healthy eating but do not provide information on special diets for medical conditions. Many nutritionists have a nutrition diploma and are on the UK Volunteer Nutritionist (UKVRN) register, but this is not a mandatory registration. There are some nutritionists who work with dietitians within the National Health Service. Nutritionists often self-employ as consultants. They cannot work with acutely ill, hospitalized patients, or community-dwelling patients who require therapeutic intervention without the supervision of a dietitian.

In addition to that instructional skills for being able to educate their clients about diet plans and their importance. Interpersonal skills such as compassion, patience, and empathy since they need to see from their client's perspective so that they can adjust their diets and exercise habits according to that. And also mathematical skills to calculate calories and macros which require scientific knowledge to interpret those calculations.
Biology and social sciences should interest students who major in nutrition. They should be interested in finding out how eating affects one's well-being, especially in the prevention of illnesses like diabetes. Students majoring in nutrition should aim to teach others about this information, whether they do so by working with specific people or the larger community.
Duration is mostly three to four years depending on the individual’s performance.

Even though each university has different demands for applying and they need to be investigated more, there are a few main requirements that every one of them wants. So to apply successfully you will need; official academic transcripts scanned copy of your passport, a CV/ Resume, letter of recommendation or statement of purpose, and an English language proficiency test score (even though the demanded points vary for each university, the minimum English level of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent with no band score under 5.5) and reference letter.
