Celebrating its centennial in 2019, Masaryk University is one of the largest universities in Czechia. The university, which has more than 600 fields of study and around 32,500 students, gives an average of 7,500 graduates every year. 85% of the graduates of the university, which offers a very high quality education in both academic and practical terms, find the opportunity to work in their field of expertise.

The university, which currently has around a thousand published studies and more than 900 research projects, stands out with its modern facilities, infrastructure services and student-oriented management approach. Although it is a very old university, the buildings on the campus are constantly being renewed and new research centers are established within the university. Masaryk University Application and Admission Requirements

The faculties of English language teaching at Masaryk University are Medicine, Education, Arts and Social Sciences. In the first year, you can take English or Czech preparatory education at universities in Prague, and you can apply to the department you want at Masaryk University. The conditions required to receive undergraduate or regular master's education in these faculties vary on a faculty basis. These conditions can be summarized as:

Faculty of Medicine;

  • Application dates: 1 January – 31 July
  • A written exam is administered for admission.
  • Preparation classes are mandatory.

Faculty of Education;

  • Application dates: 1 November – 31 May
  • A written exam is administered for admission.

Faculty of Arts;

  • Application dates: 1 January – 30 April
  • For admission, an exam is administered that measures the applicant's language skills and motivation.
  • Foreign language proficiency certificate is required:
  • IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5

Faculty of Social Studies;

  • Application dates: 1 November – 15 April
  • Applicants are requested to write content articles in English on different subjects.
  • English proficiency is required to be at B2 level.

Those who want to take their master's education in Czechia as part of the complementary master's program must meet the following conditions:

  • To have a bachelor's degree.
  • Ensure English language proficiency
  • TOEFL: a minimum score of 550 (written), 213 (computer-based), or 79 (internet-based).
  • IELTS: A score of 6.5 or higher.
  • Providing a resume, letter of intent and reference letter.

Accomodation

The dormitories of the university offer students a comfortable, safe and healthy accommodation throughout their education life. Masaryk University's accommodation and food services unit (MU Accommodation and Catering Services) is responsible for the management of 10 different accommodation facilities. In almost all of these facilities; General facilities such as gym, computer rooms, television, internet service are provided.
